National media coverage of women's athletics remains shockingly low at less than 15% overall, and under 8% for professional sports. The numbers don't lie: women's athletics are underrepresented.
Her Sports is changing that by providing accessible, high-quality coverage of San Diego's professional and collegiate women athletes. By connecting fans, athletes, and institutions, we're building a city-wide network that champions women's sports and ensures their stories are seen, heard, and celebrated.

The Founders
Lisa Lamb
I founded Her Sports San Diego to share the stories of the incredible women’s teams and athletes in San Diego that have been invisible. For too long, fans, including myself, have been deprived of the chance to really dig in to learn more about their favorite teams because those stories did not exist. In response, we created a space for fans to learn about their favorite teams and discover new teams along the way.
Jourdan Ziff
I joined as a co-founder of Her Sports because I saw a real gap in how women’s sports are covered and celebrated. As a former professional athlete, I experienced firsthand the dedication, talent, and impact of female athletes. Their stories deserve a bigger stage. With Her Sports, I wanted to create a platform that not only amplifies their voices but also builds a connected community of fans, athletes, and organizations who value and support women in sports.
