🎾 Tennis: USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ 16s and 18s National Championships at Barnes This Week
SAN DIEGO – Catch the next generation of tennis greats up close and for free at the Barnes Tennis Center from August 2 -10! Enjoy an action-packed experience where future stars from across the country compete for national titles. Previous competitors include Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys, Emma Navarro, Sofia Kenin, and Anna Anisimova. Who knows which future star you’ll see?

San Diegans are well represented in the draws. Locals playing in the Girls’ 18s include No. 2 seed and worldwide highest-ranked 16-year old Julieta Pareja, No. 7 seed Stanford-bound Alyssa Ahn, Carley Chen, Sophie Lau, Kylie Liu, Anqi Mei, and Elena Zhao. Local Girls’ 16s players include Yilin Chen, Kiana Huerta, Juny Huh, Kiana Smith, and Lillian Xu.
The tournament’s top finishers earn wildcards to the U.S. Open main draw. You don’t want to miss it. It’s free, fun, and fabulous, so head on over!
