💃 SDSU’s dance team represents the heart and spirit of the university through its consistency, energy, and presence across campus. From athletic events to clinics and community appearances, the team is a visible and influential part of the SDSU experience. Known for polished, picture-perfect routines that appear effortless on the floor, much of the team’s work happens behind the scenes. Amid their many commitments throughout the year, the College Universal Dance Association (UDA) Nationals remain the central focus of the season.

🪩 Weekend performances
🪩 SDSU will open its weekend on Friday at the UDA Nationals with a Jazz performance while also competing Saturday in the Hip Hop semifinals. Hip Hop is where SDSU made its strongest mark at this competition last year, earning a second-place national finish in Division IA. That routine drew widespread attention for its power, cohesion, and swagger, elevated by a memorable Eminem-inspired theme that resonated across social media platforms.
SDSU enters the weekend with confidence and experience on the national stage. After a runner-up finish last season, the Aztecs will look to build on that momentum. Learn more about the dance competition here.
