SAN DIEGO – SDSU’s track and field team delivered a strong showing at the 47th Annual Aztec Invitational, propelled by a dominant performance from senior multi-event standout Jenna Fee Feyerabend. With the last home meet, the team honored 11 graduating seniors as well.

Feyerabend put together one of the top heptathlon performances in the nation this season, winning the event by a landslide with 5,828 points. Her score marked an outdoor personal best total and currently ranks at the very top in NCAA Division I.

The senior was consistent across all seven events, capturing first-place finishes in the shot put, high jump, 200 meters, long jump and javelin while also placing second in both the 100-meter hurdles and 800 meters.

Feyerabend, the reigning Mountain West heptathlon champion and an All-American, continues to build momentum heading into the championship portion of the outdoor season. Her performance at the Aztec Invitational further strengthens her national standing and positions her as a contender for postseason success.

Beyond the multis, SDSU saw strong performances across several event groups throughout the two-day meet at the SDSU Sports Deck.

The Aztecs’ pole vault unit remains a key strength of the program, currently ranked No. 5 nationally. Sydney Ash placed first in the event, clearing 3.88m. Isabella Nilsen and Jordan Leveque tied for second for pole vault as well. The group has consistently produced top marks throughout the season and continued that trend at the home meet, contributing to SDSU’s overall success.

The Aztecs took first place finishes in the 4x100m relay and long jump. In the 100m dash, SDSU took places first to fourth while in the 200m dash, Aztecs placed second to eighth. For the 100m hurdles, Charlize James and Brinley Campbell took first and second.

With another successful home meet in the books, SDSU will look to carry its momentum forward as it prepares for the upcoming conference and NCAA competitions. Some athletes will now be heading to Walnut to compete in the Mt. SAC Relays from April 15-18 while others will be in the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific from April 16-18.
