DEL MAR, Calif. - On Thursday, WISE San Diego hosted “Golf and Gather” in Del Mar, bringing together industry professionals across a variety of careers in sport for a night of socializing and connection. The evening featured networking in the Toptracer suites located at the Del Mar Golf Center, providing a fun environment for members to engage with new people and reconnect with familiar faces. About 30 women came together for this high-energy social, making it the perfect opportunity for career-related discussions and growth in their profession in a relaxed setting.
The event was designed for novice to elite golfers, creating a supportive and fun environment for all women. Built on the pillar of community and support, the night included women with more golfing experience naturally guiding and helping those new to the game, fostering an environment that was welcoming to everybody.
Throughout the two-hour event, most attendees took the opportunity to work on their swing intermittently between meaningful conversations with women holding various positions within the sports world.
It served as a great example of how the organization embodies its mission of being a catalyst for women in sports to advance their career goals. What made this event so special was the way it brought together a group of women with different backgrounds, but all career-oriented and focused on the same passion.
Not only that, the evening also introduced an authentic way to connect without the usual pressures of a formal or professional environment. From start to finish, the space was filled with women chatting, laughing, and unwinding in good company.
