SAN DIEGO - The Keeper Institute hosted its third annual San Diego Winter Camp on Saturday on the practice fields at San Diego State University, giving young goalkeepers a rare chance to learn from some of the best in the game.

The camp featured two half-day sessions and welcomed hundreds of youth athletes from across the San Diego region. Throughout the day, players worked through drills focused on footwork, shot stopping, positioning, and confidence, all while getting direct feedback from professional goalkeepers.

The camp was led by former U.S. National Team goalkeeper Jillian Loyden and Kailen Sheridan, who recently parted ways with the San Diego Wave in a move that had NWSL and Wave fans buzzing. Ten other professional goalkeepers also joined as coaches, giving players the opportunity to learn from multiple pros with different styles and experiences.

Beyond the training, the camp focused on building confidence and helping young players understand what it takes to succeed at higher levels of the sport. Coaches spent time answering questions, sharing stories from their careers, and encouraging athletes to stay committed to their goals.
