Aztecs come out strong in the WBIT, head to quarterfinals

SDSU Softball

  • SDSU Softball closed its UNLV series with a dramatic 13–7 comeback win on Sunday, scoring eight runs in the final inning, after dropping the first two games.

SDSU Waterpolo

  • No. 13 SDSU Water Polo split its weekend, earning a 16–4 win over Fresno Pacific on Saturday before falling 14–12 to Fresno State on Sunday despite four goals from Sydney Gish.

SDSU Tennis

  • The No. 31 Aztecs extended their streak to ten on Friday, with a 4-0 win over Utah State, then were upended by Boise State 1-4 on Sunday for their first loss since Jan. 18.

Wave win their first game of the season against Utah

  • Wave FC (1 win, 1 loss, 0 ties) defeated Utah 2–1 Sunday, with Dudinha opening the scoring and rookie Lia Godfrey netting the game-winner after Utah went down to 10 players following a red card.

USD Tennis Defeats Portland

  • The No. 45 Toreros won in Portland, 5-2 on Sunday. No. 104 singles player sophomore Hannah Read won a three-set singles match to help secure the victory.

The March Madness run ends

  • The No. 14 Tritons fell to No. 3 TCU on Friday during the first round of the NCAA tournament, 86-40. Read about it here. 🏀

  • At the NCAA Championships, Chloe Braun finished within the top 20 for the 100 Breaststroke, earning the team’s first-ever team point.

UC San Diego Fencing

  • Katherine Kim earned All-America honors for the second year after finishing 11th at the National Collegiate fencing Championships on Friday! Her teammate, Piper Randolph, finished 22nd.

Mojo Pro Volleyball

Mojo Drops Two Versus Orlando and Dallas 🏐

  • Searching for consistency on the road: The Mojo (7-10) fell to the Orlando Valkyries 3–1 on Thursday and lost again in four sets to the Dallas Pulse on Saturday, to move to sixth place in league standings.

Point Loma Nazarene

Point Loma tennis team extends streak to nine

  • The Sea Lions win streak was kept alive at eight matches after sweeping Cal State LA on Wednesday, 7-0, then moved to nine with a narrow escape over Biola, 4-3, on Saturday.
