SAN DIEGO — The San Diego Mojo dominated the league-leading Omaha Supernovas on Saturday night in four sets at Viejas Arena, 25-19, 23-25, 27-25, 25-13.
Pay attention to the Mojo’s trajectory. In their first ten matches, they went 2-8 and won only ten sets. In their most recent 11 matches, they are 5-6, and two of the losses were five-set heartbreakers. The team’s upswing is real. Be sure to catch them in action!

SAN DIEGO — USD tennis clinched its first-ever West Coast Conference (WCC) regular season title by defeating Pepperdine for the first time in more than a dozen years. Adding to the joy, senior Claudia de las Heras won Heluva Good Dip WCC Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week while Kristina Nordikyan and Anni Puls claimed Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Women's Tennis Doubles Team of the Week. San Diego State women’s tennis clinched a share of the Mountain West Regular Season Championship on Sunday after a 4-0 sweep of New Mexico at the Aztec Tennis Center. Congratulations, Aztecs!

SAN DIEGO – The Aztecs swept UNLV over the weekend at home, winning two of the three via the run rule* (8-0, 12-4, 4-0). On Sunday, Grace Uribe homered in the second inning and Jazmin Williams hit a two-run home run in the fifth inning while pitchers Ava Schaffel and Cece Cellura limited the UNLV Rebels to two hits. The Aztecs earned a 4-0 shutout win to complete the sweep.
Williams and Cellura were named Mountain West Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively for their contributions.
*The umpire may call a game in five innings when one team is winning by eight or more runs. A typical game lasts seven innings.
