The best club ultimate frisbee teams from across North America will compete at USA Ultimate's National Championships from Oct. 22-25 at the Surf Cup Sports Park in Del Mar, Calif. Two of San Diego's own club teams have qualified for the prestigious tournament: San Diego Flipside and California Burrito!

Flipside, seeded eighth in the field of the nation’s 16 best women's club teams, was founded in 2022 and has qualified for USAU Club Nationals every year since its founding. This year, the team has high goals, aiming to reach at least the semifinals. Flipside's 2026 roster has 16 athletes and two coaches who have also represented the local women's professional team, San Diego Super Bloom.
One of the Super Bloom players, Kaela Helton, has also played for Team USA and has won USAU Club Nationals with another team.
California Burrito, a team ranked 12th of 16 best-in-nation mixed club teams, is thrilled to attend Nationals for the first time in program history. Led by an incredible group of female-matching players, the Burrito roster carries 12 athletes who have also played for San Diego Super Bloom.
