Wave take a road loss with ten players

The Wave fell to the Seattle Reign, 1-0. The team now sit fifth in the NWSL standings with playoffs approaching quickly. Read our recap of the game here.
UC San Diego
Soccer traveled and hosted

The Tritons were in Boise on Thursday, falling 1-0 to Boise State. The team hosted back in La Jolla against North Alabama, a scoreless draw.
UC San Diego Volleyball
UC San Diego was in Honolulu over the weekend to play in the Outrigger Invitational. The team took three losses, including two five setters to Utah Tech and Hawai’i.

At the UC Davis Tournament, the Aztecs took down the Aggies in their second straight sweep. The Scarlet and Black then took on (rv) Cal Poly, falling in four sets.
SDSU Soccer
Soccer finished at one apiece against Oklahoma State, then traveled to to face Texas Tech on Sunday, losing 2-1. The Aztecs only have three more nonconference games before Pac-12 play begins.
University of San Diego
The Toreros host ranked teams for their home openers
The Toreros faced two nationally ranked programs over the weekend. Lisa Lamb/Her Sports SD
The Toreros hosted the Jack Tamladge Classic in the Jenny Craig, where the team faced two nationally ranked opponents over the weekend for its homestand. The team fell against No. 8 SMU in four sets. Recap the game here.
USD then went on to face No. 15 USC, pushing the nationally ranked team in close sets, but ultimately fell in three. Read the recap of the game here.
USD Soccer
The Toreros were on the road, falling to UTEP 1-0. USD then took a 1-0 win over Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday.
The Athlete’s Commute
Catch up on the latest of The Athlete’s Commute with Lera Doederlein!
Doederlein is a Team USA Paralympian, World Championship gold winner, and multisport athlete competing at the highest levels of adaptive athletics. At just 18 years old, she represented the US at the 2022 Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, competing in Para Nordic skiing and biathlon and earning multiple top 10 finishes.
On this ride to sled hockey training, Lera opens up about the decision she made at 14 to undergo a bilateral amputation for more mobility, how a chance invitation to a sled hockey practice changed the course of her life, and what it took to qualify for Beijing in under two years. She talks through her current training split between the ice and the gym, and how she and her team won gold at the first official Women's World Championships in Slovakia.

The Sea Lions sweep at home
Volleyball dominated in the Golden Gymnasium over the weekend. Belen Young/@belens_gameday
Volleyball hosted the San Diego Invite at Golden Gym over the weekend, going undefeated in the invitation. The team swept RV Dallas Baptist University and Colorado Christian while taking a four-set win against Winona State.
PLNU Soccer
Soccer hosted Stanislaus State, tying at one each. The team then took on No. 2 Cal Poly Pomona to end in a scoreless draw. The Sea Lions are ranked No. 6 in the West Region for NCAA DII soccer!
