Welcome to the Recap!

Highlights

  • Wave FC notched a much-needed win over NC Courage as the race for the NWSL playoffs intensifies. Suddenly, home is where the heart and the winning is. Three straight wins on their own turf. Can the team make it four this Friday?

  • San Diego’s DI soccer programs all won and all three teams scored a goal in the 89th or 90th minute. How crazy is that?!

  • The latest episode of The Athlete’s Commute is live, featuring Team USA Paralympian Lera Doederlein.

  • Interesting (and tough) poll! Only 24% of you knew that Wave FC boasts players from eight countries: Bosnia, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, France, Spain, United Kingdom, and USA! And, um, make that nine. The Wave just added Barbara Bonansea from Pinerolo, Italy, so the poll's already out of date! Whew!

  • Congrats to US Open tennis champion Elena Rybakina. Including Saturday’s victory, how many Grand Slams has she won? Take this week’s poll!
