SDSU and PLNU basketball turned in winning performances across all games this week. 🏀
UCSD’s swim team took home big wins at the Big West Championships with three athletes securing spots in the NCAA Championship.
The Tritons went 5-0 in their co-hosted softball tournament with USD. 🥎
Mojo Pro Volleyball extended their hot streak to three (before dropping one on Sunday), one of those wins taking down first place in four sets. 🏐
🗣️ Last week’s trivia results are in. It was Makayla Rose who broke the record of the most steals in a single game for UCSD basketball with nine. Nice! This week’s poll is about the US women’s hockey team.

Mojo extend their win streak to three 🏐

The Mojo won three consecutive matches before taking a loss on Sunday.
San Diego State

SDSU continues its momentum with two more wins

SDSU played strong for their Pink Game on Wednesday. Soleil Dam/Her Sports SD
SDSU defeated Colorado State for their Pink Game, 64-61. Read more about the home win here. The Aztecs then went on to beat Nevada, 78-64 on Valentines day. Read more on the win here. 🏀
Nala Williams is the ONLY player in the nation with at least 1,700 points, 600 rebounds, 400 assists and 440 steals.
Takeaway: The Aztecs have a two-game advantage over UNLV with the Mountain West Tournament starting March 7.
SDSU Softball
The 8-2 Aztecs went 5-1 in the Campbell/Cartier Classic, and in the process won its sixth game of the season with a walkoff hit.
SDSU Track & Field
Aztec Xiomara Young, secured first place in the long and triple jump at the Battle Born Classic meet. She’s had a first place finish in all three regular season meets!
SDSU Lacrosse
SDSU took their first season win off of Farleigh Dickinson, 15-5. Freshmen Lilah Turley and Barrett Doan led the Aztecs with career highs of three goals. Read more here.

USD basketball celebrates National Girls and Women in Sports Day

Olivia Owens brought in 14 points for the Toreros against Gonzaga. USD Athletics
The Toreros celebrated National Girls and Women in Sports Day, but took a loss to Gonzaga, 66-56. Kylie Ray dropped 25 points and Olivia Owens secured her third straight double-double.
Owens was named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week last Monday!
USD Softball
The Toreros co-hosted a tournament with UCSD and went 2-2 in the tournament. Read more about the home opener here.
USD Tennis
USD scorched Hawai’i 7-0 and then lost one to No. 19 UCLA, 1-6. 🎾
Point Loma Nazarene

Point Loma goes undefeated in Hawai’i

Point Loma secured three wins on their Hawai’i road trip. Spencer Honda/Hawai’i Hilo Athletics
The Sea Lions went on a Hawai’i road trip, taking three wins against Chaminade, Hawai’i Pacific and Hawai’i Hilo. PLNU now has home court advantage through the PacWest Championships. 🏀
Takeaway: PLNU remains in first place in the PacWest conference, one game separating them from second-place Vanguard. The team also clinched a spot at the PacWest Championships while in Hawai’i.
PLNU Tennis
Point Loma’s women’s tennis team took a 1-4 loss from Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and bounced back to sweep Westmont 7-0.
UC San Diego

UC San Diego swimmers claim multiple Big West titles

UC San Diego swim took 13 championship titles with Eva Boehlke, Chloe Braun and Asia Kozan all qualifying for a DI NCAA Championship bid.
The women’s swimming team finished fourth overall in the Big West.
UC San Diego Basketball
The Tritons faced UC Davis to try to avenge their only conference loss, losing the game in triple overtime 88-80. They came back with a 79-68 win over UC Riverside, and still sit atop the Big West conference.
UC San Diego Softball
While co-hosting a tournament with the University of San Diego, the Tritons went 6-0, beating Utah Tech twice, Weber State, Fairleigh Dickinson and Colorado State two times.
