The Wave took care of business on the road, beating the Boston Legacy 1–0 in their first East Coast trip of the season.
Then came the hardware. Dudinha, Kenza Dali, Kennedy Wesley, and rookie Lia Godfrey all landed on the NWSL Best XI, more than any other club. Godfrey doubled up, earning Rookie of the Month honors as well.
Five games in, the Wave sit on top of the table, though Angel City and Houston are lurking with a game in hand and a chance to shake things up.
Mojo Pro Volleyball

Mojo defeat Fury away and Pulse at home
It’s a trifecta. The Mojo (10–10) are heating up, now riding a three-match win streak, with two of those coming this week.
They swept the Columbus Fury 3–0 on the road Friday, behind a big night from Grace Loberg (15 points on 13 kills and two aces, plus nine blocks).
Then came the statement win: a five-set battle over the Dallas Pulse that pushes the Mojo into fourth place and firmly into the playoff conversation.

SDSU Waterpolo
No. 17 SDSU Water Polo (17-9) defeated crosstown rival No. 16 UC San Diego at the Aztec Aquaplex, winning the annual Harper Cup for the first time since 2015.
SDSU Tennis
The No. 43 Aztecs stayed hot on the road, picking up two wins over No. 69 UNLV and Nevada. They now sit in a three-way tie for first place in the Mountain West.
SDSU Track & Field
The Aztecs captured the podium across multiple events at Saturday’s Triton Invitational, highlighted by first-place finishes from Jada Pierre (100m hurdles, 13.15) and Aji Mbye (100m, 11.59). They also swept the 400m with Shari Hurdman (53.04, PR), Laraigh Allen (53.79, PR), and Kelia Bentham (53.94, PR) taking the top three spots. Isabella Nilsen placed second in the pole vault (4.21m, PR), while Alyssa Alumbres finished third in the triple jump (12.26m, PR).
SDSU Softball
SDSU Softball dropped two of three against Utah State, with both losses coming by just one run.
Off the field, there’s big-time recognition: Assistant coach and 2020 Olympic Silver Medalist Madilyn “Bubba” Nickles-Camarena is among 36 athletes under consideration for the 2026 USA Softball Women’s National Team.
University of San Diego

USD Tennis
The No. 39 Toreros (9–9, 3–1 WCC) dropped back-to-back matches against ranked opponents No. 38 Baylor and No. 7 Pepperdine. While the final score against Pepperdine was 4–0, play stops once a team earns four points. Four of the six singles matches went to three sets, reflecting a much closer contest than the score suggests.
USD Softball
The Toreros (16-19, 3-3 WCC) won the conference series 2-1 over LMU. Mallory Axline had three hits and a run in the two victories.
UC San Diego

The No. 16 Tritons Waterpolo (11–12, 3–4 Big West) rolled past UC Santa Barbara 15–8 on Saturday. Emily Cloherty led the way with four goals and an assist.
Triton softball locked up the series with back-to-back wins over UC Riverside. Check out more on Instagram.
Point Loma Nazarene

PLNU (13-3) earned a pair of 5-2 wins against Hawai'i Pacific and Hawai'i Hilo on Friday and Saturday.
CSU San Marcos

Twelve straight and counting. The nation’s No. 2 Cougars (36–3, 18–2 CCAA) edged CSU Dominguez Hills 2–1 in extra innings to keep the streak alive.
ICYMI

Encinitas’ own Alyssa Spencer has officially broken into surfing’s top tier. Read about it here.
