Rebellion lost in the Championship but still so much to love about this team

The Rebellion played its championship game on Sunday against the Texas Elite Spartans, falling 34-14. It was the franchise’s second trip to the championship game, ending the season 7-2. Read about the game, a look back at the Rebellion’s season, and the growth of women’s pro football all here.

With no agent and barely any game film, Nicole Robertson created a LinkedIn, posted her own training videos, and networked her way into her first professional contract in Denmark, leaving university behind to do it. What followed was a career spanning Denmark, Scotland and Sweden, and a lifestyle she's committed enough to that she's four years into earning Swedish citizenship.
