Loss Avenged: California Palms pro lacrosse upended New York Charging in its home debut

The California Palms hosted their first home game ever this past weekend! WLL/thewll.com
With a matchup that had heavy weight to it, the California Palms played its first ever home game on Saturday.
The Palms took down the New York Charging, 16-9, and sit atop the Women’s Lacrosse League professional standings. Read about the game here.

The Wave is gearing up for its full return from international break with an exhibition game. San Diego Wave FC
The Wave faced the Portland Thorns in an exhibition game on Saturday, the team’s first game back from international break, taking down the Thorns 4-3.
The team is fully back into the swing of things with its Independence Day game on July 4 at Snapdragon Stadium.

PFL San Diego didn’t just bring fights to Pechanga Arena on Saturday, but the inclusion of three women’s bouts on the card highlights continued growth and visibility for women in MMA.
With the featured matchup of Liz Carmouche and Viviane Araújo, Marmouche was crowned the winner.
Jena Bishop and Shannon Clark were the winners of the two other women flyweight matches.
