The Mojo defeated the Omaha Supernovas on Sunday in a five-set thriller. The team now has a 4-2 record at home. Read more here.

Clinched! SDSU basketball gets share of the regular season championship

SDSU celebrated Black History Month against Fresno State with a 68-59 win on Saturday. With the win, the Aztecs clinched a share of the Mountain West regular season championship. The win also sets a new program record for conference wins in a season with 16. Read about the game here.
Nala Williams was named Mountain West Player of the Week today, after having 14 points against Fresno state. She leads the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio! And, did you know she’s got a great arm for baseball, too? Watch her throw out the first pitch at SDSU baseball here.
“We are happy to be a champion, but we don’t want to share [the title], so we’ve got to keep winning,” said head coach Stacie Terry-Hutson.
Takeaway: The Scarlet and Black marches on with three games left in conference play before the Mountain West Championships, and can clinch the regular season outright with a win on Wednesday.
SDSU Swim and Dive
The team made history with their fifth consecutive Mountain West Championship on Saturday. They finished the championships with 1367.50 points, leaving the competition far behind.
SDSU Tennis
The ITA National Rankings announced the Aztecs to be in the No. 22 spot, the highest ranking for the team since 1993. Jo-Yee Chan and Vessa Turley are ranked at No. 38 in the country for doubles!
SDSU Softball
The Aztecs went 2-3 in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic when facing top ranked teams in the country. Read more here.

USD softball takes two wins

The Toreros put two wins under their belt. USD Athletics
The softball team went 2-3 in the Purple Classic, taking down Montana and North Florida.
USD Basketball
The Toreros took two losses this week, from Pepperdine and LMU while the team continues to focus on rebuilding their program.
USD Tennis
The Toreros are ranked No. 30 after a win over No. 33 Utah.

Point Loma struggles back home

After their Hawai’i sweep, the Sea Lions took two losses from Vanguard and Concordia. Point Loma was able to take their Homecoming game against Concordia to overtime, but ultimately fell short, 90-84. 🏀
Takeaway: PLNU dropped to third place in the PacWest standings after the losses. They play at home for the rest of conference play.
UC San Diego

UC San Diego basketball falls just short

The basketball team faced UC Irvine for its Breast Cancer Awareness game. With the tough 70-68 loss, the Tritons find themselves in third place of the Big West. Read more about the game here.
Takeaway: The matchup seemed more like a preview for what could come in March, two top teams facing off. Instead of protecting their top spot, UCSD now has to fight for seeding advantage for the Big West Championships.
UC San Diego Water Polo
The Tritons opened their conference play against No. 25 UC Irvine and lost 10-14 on Friday.
